From the day I first became a mum, I have always felt that my son deserved to spend his time away from me in a place that would feel like home, being more than just a childcare solution. However, finding a nursery which would care for babies as young as 3 months old and provide high-quality care and education was not an easy task. This is why, after becoming a lawyer in Paris and working in marketing at Danone UK, I decided to start a new career as an entrepreneur, determined to bring my ideas to life. This is how this wonderful adventure started… Today, I am proud and happy to be able to offer parents access to this unique place. More than a home away from home, La Petite Nursery is a place where children are Preparing for Life.
I always wanted to be a nursery teacher just like my grandma. My dream came true when I arrived in London, almost 8 years ago, and started working in a Jewish Outstanding Nursery. As an educator, I learned a lot from working with children while discovering more about Jewish culture and traditions. As I grew into a managerial role, I continued sharing my passion for education while communicating key values to my staff. When I am not at the nursery, I enjoy cooking for my family and friends, reading, travelling and capturing every moment on camera. I have a degree in Public Administration and an NVQ level 3 in Childcare. My favourite song is Defying Gravity, which is a good definition of who I am: always trying to go beyond and put passion into everything I do.
I have worked with children for 11 years and have always focused on instilling a love for learning. The early years are a crucial time in which we set the foundation for a child’s emotional, intellectual, social and physical development. A play researcher once said, “Children learn as they play, most importantly in play children learn how to learn”. I try to show my passion for working with children through the games and activities that I organise which allow them to learn but also have fun. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, going to the cinema, traveling and going to music concerts.
My aim in life is to spread joy, positivity and kindness. Being able to do this with children from the first stages of their life is a very rewarding passion of mine. I strongly believe that all children should have the support, love and encouragement to empower them through the use of different learning techniques, as well as being able to cultivate their emotional, physical and social skills. I volunteered at a local nursery whilst studying my degree in Early Childhood Studies from 2016-2019. It is a privilege to be able to work with children at La Petite Nursery and to be given the opportunity to witness their growth and achievements from the early stages of their life.
My name is Marine, I am a registered nurse in my home country, France. I have moved to London mid-2019 for a new challenge. I have always been interested in childcare and have specialized in child nursing during my studies. I have worked in several hospitals in Paris with children from 2017 to 2019. Through years of medically caring for children and babysitting, I have exhibited compassion, patience and professionalism. I yet have to find a child I do not get along with! I am looking forward to this new challenge at La Petite Nursery, along with my amazing colleagues.
I am a Spanish nursery educator with NVQ level 4 in Childcare, with a big passion for early years education. I have been involved with children since I was 15 years old, doing my first steps in this career as a volunteer in a children’s hospital and foster center. Then I started working in different countries as an au pair, until I finished my career in Childcare and I started to work in professional nursery settings.
During my first years in the profession I learnt a lot and I realized what is the most important in this stage to me. Like Aristoteles said “Educating the mind without educating the heart is not educating at all”. Their welfare and happiness is the base to grow and built their learnings, being in the privileged position of sharing with them their first years we must ensure this and make them feel what their are: special, uniques and capable humans. Like Loris Malaguzzi said “Children have 100 ways to express themselves, but we steal them 99”, don’t pressure them, and let them flow with their natural intuition and curiosity.
I feel It is easy to get wrapped up in the enquiry of who a child will become all the whilst forgetting who they currently are. In light of this, there is a necessity, within childcare to establish a warm community in which each child can express themselves individually and in accordance with their present identity. Showing them the right patience, kindness and tolerance is what I believe enables them to feel comfortable and secure enough to make their own mark, whatever the activity. I feel passionate about making their everyday a valuable and thrilling experience and will always do what I can to make each child feel at home.
Leaders Room Leader
Ever since I was a teenager, I’ve always wanted to work with children. This is why the studies I have chosen involved Pedagogy and the development and care of children. My experiences have allowed me to learn and grow in everyday practicalities and not only theoretically. Bringing a child into a Nursery is not always easy for a parent, this is also why I strongly believe that it is one of our many duties to make the child and parents feel at ease, creating an environment of safety and love, working together towards a single goal. During my studies I became aware of people and theories who still help us to assist and listen to children and still today have a great impact in the way we all practice this profession.
I am a person who is attentive to details, open minded and always looking forward to learn new approaches. I believe this is the only way to adapt and improve. Multiculturalism has always accompanied me during my work experience, I speak 4 languages: English, Italian, French and Dutch. Working and accommodating different cultures is something I love and am used to. Creating activities that stimulate children and putting them into practice, is the part I love the most about my work, as well as seeing children reach their goals and learn from me while I learn from them.
Hello I’m Lidia! I Come from an HR background, with several years of experience both in tutoring and teaching in High school and University. My passion for the youngest children was born several years ago when I accepted the challenge to become an active member of the start up team for the ShabbaTots group in West London Synagogue. There, I was taking care of the Jewish learning for the very little ones (0 to 5y old). I was also running baking classes for kids in parallel, which I loved. And now here I am! Together at La Petite, we will learn about Jewish Festivals and their incredible stories, we will sing Jewish songs and bake delicious Challah bread, sufganiot, cheescake and hamantachen!

I am a mature and experienced practitioner with over 30 years of working with children in the nursery environment and as a private nanny. I enjoy giving children the additional time they need when away from their parents to be happy, healthy and independent children. I am also able to create a caring and happy environment with lots of fun and stimulating play to enhance children’s learning whether indoors or outdoors. I am a fun and bubbly person with a ‘can do’ attitude and give the very best to the children in my care. I have worked my way up through the ranks as a senior room leader to deputy manager in various settings and still see room for improvement in my career. Today I am very proud of being the room leader for our little explorers, making sure the babies have all the attention and care they need for their very first step in the nursery!
Adventurers Room Leader
I’m from Spain and I have worked with children for 8 years. I have a Degree in Early Years Education and I think teaching is a very rewarding profession as I can see how children develop in such important stage in their lives to get prepared for the future. I love interacting with the children, extending their vocabulary and getting to know their interests. I really enjoy engaging them in all kind of creative and fun activities through play to help them to discover themselves and the world around them.
I consider myself a self-motivated individual with a natural sensible and friendly attitude, and also with excellent communication skills. I’m a qualified and experienced teacher – I have been working in childcare since 2016, first as a Childminder, Babysitter and I’ve worked in nurseries with children from different age range. I am willing to work exceptionally hard within La Petite Nursery and develop my skills and quality further in this sector. I’m up for challenges, and I am willing to go the extra mile. Throughout my studies and experiences, I have been able to follow the Early Years Foundation Stage requirements and meet the children’s best of needs.
Climbers Room Leader
I have always had a passion to work with children from a young age. It all started when I was 14 years old and had the chance to work in a nursery for my year 10 work experience. This then opened my eyes and I knew for certain that this was the path for me. I have geared all my studies towards helping me to achieve this goal. Working with children has helped me enhance my skills and knowledge and I am determined to develop them further. My aim is to give the children the best experience and support their growth and development.
I have always been passionate about working with children. This is perhaps because I feel like a child myself, which this quote illustrates perfectly: “Second star to the right, and straight on until morning.” This is how Peter Pan described the place of eternal youth, Neverland. I found my own Neverland in La Petite Nursery, where children stay children, along with me. I am very excited to be given the opportunity to teach your children, take a part in their growth and development all whilst cherishing their inner child and helping them look for their own Neverland.
Hi there, I’m Sian and I have recently from Australia to London. Coming from a culinary background in Australia, cooking and food in general has always been a huge passion of mine, I love it!
I have always lived by the fact that a balanced and healthy diet is the fundamental ingredient to assisting and improving everything that happens in life from the moment you wake to when you go to go to sleep. I’m so happy to be back doing what I love, providing healthy, delicious, nutritional fresh food!
I have worked with children for almost 14 years, my first big experience was looking after my brother and from there I enjoyed teaching and playing with children. I worked as a nanny when I came to London and from there I decided to start my career as a nursery teacher. I believe that children will be able to unlock their full potential if they are given the opportunity to do so.
I am Mercedes and I come from Spain. I started studying a degree in pedagogy at 17 years old. When I did my practices, I discovered that I did not like traditional school because the children didn’t receive the respect or the experiences they needed to develop. For this reason, I decided to start in the so-called alternative pedagogies and obtained my diploma of Montessori guide “children’s house”. I have experience both doing internships and professional experience in different Montessori schools, which gives me a broad vision of child development. Maria Montessori used to say “don’t follow me, follow the child”. By following the child in their development, giving them the experiences they need, respect and freedom, we will ensure that our children are happy and adapted to the society in which all of us live.
