Funding at La Petite Nursery

At La Petite Nursery, we understand that childcare costs can be a significant concern for parents. We are pleased to offer a range of government funding options and are here to guide you through the exciting opportunities available for eligible families.

Understanding Your Funding Options:
  • Early Years Funding (9 Months +)
Starting in September 2024, eligible families can claim 15 hours of funded childcare per week for children aged 9 months and older, increasing to 30 hours per week in September 2025. This funding is available for 38 weeks of term time per year.

  • Nursery Education Funding (2-3 Years)
Since April 2024, eligible families have been able to access 15 hours of funding per week, which will increase to 30 hours per week in September 2025. Like other funding options, this covers 38 weeks of term time each year.

  • Universal Nursery Education Funding (3+ Years)
All children aged 3 and over in England are entitled to 15 hours of funded childcare per week, for 38 weeks of the year, starting from the term after their third birthday. Depending on your circumstances, your child may be eligible for an additional 15 hours, bringing the total to 30 hours per week.

Important Information:
  • The government funding covers 38 weeks of term time. However, La Petite Nursery operates for approximately 46 weeks per year.

  • Additional charges may apply for any weeks beyond the funded period or for any extra hours attended.

  • Children become eligible for age-specific funding starting from the term after their relevant birthday (or month for 9-month-olds).

  • For term start dates, closure information, and to discuss your childcare plan, please reach out to your nursery admin.

How to Check Your Eligibility:

To find out if you qualify for any of these funding options, please visit the Childcare Choices Website.

Please Note: Parents must reconfirm their eligibility code every three months to continue receiving this benefit. An email will be sent out to remind you when your reconfirmation is due.

Tax-Free Childcare: An Additional Benefit

Tax-Free Childcare is a government initiative that helps families save on childcare costs, including nursery fees. This program can be used alongside the 15 or 30 hours of funding and is available for all nursery-aged children. Eligibility criteria are similar to those for 30 hours of funding, but the scheme is open to a wider group of families.

For more information and to apply, visit the Government’s Tax-Free Childcare page.

We hope this information helps you navigate your funding options at La Petite Nursery. If you have any questions or need further assistance, feel free to reach out to us at contact@lapetitenursery.co.uk.
